With our simple measuring guide, you can easily design your custom-made curtain.
Curtain rail
Curtain height
Measure flush from the bottom edge of the curtain rail to flush with the floor or window sill. Depending on your personal taste, add or subtract a few centimetres from the measurement you have obtained:
- Minus 2cm: The curtain hangs approx. 1cm above the floor.
- Minus 1cm: The curtain hangs flush up on the floor.
- Plus 0cm to plus 10cm: The curtain lies on the floor.
Enter the measured value in the "Height" field when ordering curtains.
Curtain width
Measure the distance to be covered by the curtains. If the window is not directly adjacent to a side wall on the left and/or right, the curtain should be at least 20 cm wider than the window on each side.
If the window is not directly adjacent to a side wall on the left and/or right, we recommend adding 10-20cm per side.
Curtain rod
Curtain height
Measure flush from the top edge of the curtain rail to flush with the floor or window sill.
Depending on your personal taste, add a few centimetres to the dimensions you receive:
- Plus 0cm: The curtain hangs approx. 1.5-2cm above the floor.
- Plus 2cm: The curtain hangs flush up on the floor.
- Plus 3cm to plus 10cm: The curtain lies on the floor.
Enter the value received in the "Height" field when ordering curtains.
Curtain width
Measure the distance to be covered by the curtains.
If you want one pair of curtains per window, halve the measured distance by two and order two curtains.
Ring colour
The curtain rings are available in three colours: white, gold and silver. You will find an overview here. The inner diameter of the rings is 3.5cm, the outer diameter is 5.5cm. Make sure that the diameter of your rod does not exceed 3.5cm.
Suggestions
Suggestion 1: Floors, curtain boards and ceilings are not always completely level. It is therefore essential to measure the height at several points and use the average measured height.
Suggestion 2: If you supplement day curtains with night or blackout curtains, please ensure that the day curtains are approx. 0.5 cm less long so that the day curtains do not protrude.
